课程简介
这门课会讲什么？
大学英语是高等教育的一个组成部分，作为非英语专业学生在本科教育阶段的公共必修课程，在人才培养方面具有不可替代的重要作用。大学英语旨在通过对英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际的学习，培养学生的英语综合应用能力，使他们在今后工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流，同时增加其自主学习能力，提高综合文化素养。
《本科外语-1》共8个单元，每个单元由4个模块组成，即课文学习(Text Study)、词汇语法(Vocabulary and Grammar)、写作(Tips for Writing)和艺术英语(English for Arts)。课文学习板块主要是分析文章结构，理清文章脉络，学习文化背景知识，帮助学生初步掌握阅读技巧；词汇语法模块主要是讲解词语的构成以及基础语法知识，帮助学生掌握词汇记忆的方法，结合语境培养学习词汇和语法知识的兴趣；写作模块主要是帮助学生提升遣词造句的能力，掌握写作的基本技能；艺术英语模块主要是针对学生所学专业，使学生初步学习艺术专业英语词汇和知识，培养学习的兴趣，使学生在专业学习中能逐步掌握英语这一工具。
