《地球概论》是面向高等师范院校地理科学专业的基础天文学核心课程,也是高校天文通识教育课程。该课程旨在从地球视角,系统介绍天文学的基本方法、基本理论及基础应用,明确地球的宇宙环境及其地理意义。课程内容包括三篇,共十章:
第一篇:天文学的基本方法,包括星空区划、天体跟踪、天文观测;
第二篇:天文学的基础理论,包括恒星与星系、太阳与太阳系、月球与地月系、地球;
第三篇:天文学的基本应用,包括天象演化、观象授时、历法制定。
本课程以重庆市科普基地和虚拟天文台软件为线下线上的实验平台,理论与实践并重,强调现代天文学思想演进与中国传统天文学的贡献,配备中英文字幕,是一门面向应用的中国特色的国际化大众天文学课程。

What will this course talk about?
Our course systematically introduce the basic methods, theories,and applications of astronomy from the perspective of the earth in order to clarify the earth’s cosmic environment and its geographical significance. The course structure consists of three units and ten chapters:
The first unit introduces the basic methods of astronomy, including starry sky division, celestial bodies tracking, and astronomical observation;
The second unit introduces the basic theories of astronomy, including stars and galaxies, the sun and the solar system, the moon and the Earth-Moon system and the Earth;
The third unit introduces the basic application of astronomy, including the evolution of celestial phenomena, timing and the calendaring by celestial phenomena.
通过该课程的系统学习,学生可获得以下基本能力:
1. 辨识四季星区、星座以及亮星,推算即时即地星空。
2. 熟悉中外星座及星宿的划分方案、相互关系及其文化内涵。
3. 掌握肉眼观测及跟踪天体周日与周年视运动的方法。
4. 掌握普通天文望远镜的类型、结构及使用方法。
5. 掌握基于虚拟星空模拟软件辅助天文理论学习和天文观测的方法。
6. 熟悉宇宙不同尺度天体及天体系统结构、运动及其演化规律。
7. 熟悉星空、昼夜、四季、节气、月相、潮汐、日月食、行星会合、行星逆行等天象演化规律。
8. 熟悉基于天体视运动规律进行导航、授时和编历的方法。
9. 了解中国古代天文仪器浑象、浑仪、日晷和圭表的原理及制作方法。
10.了解天文学发展历史中天文学家的主要贡献。
What will you gain in this course?
Through the systematic study of this course, students can acquire the following basic abilities:
1. Identify star region of the four-season, constellationand bright star, and calculate the starry sky instantly.
2. Learn the international and Chinese sky division scheme,mutual relationship and their cultural connotation.
3. Master the methods of observing and tracking diurnal andannual apparent motion a of celestial bodies with naked eyes.
4. Master the type, structure and operation of ordinary astronomical telescopes.
5. Learn the use of virtual starry sky simulation software tohelp learn astronomical theory and assist in astronomical observation.
6. Master the structure, motion and evolution of celestialbodies and systems at different scales in the universe.
7. Learn the laws of evolution of celestial phenomena suchas starry sky shift, diurnal variation, twilight, seasons, solar terms, moonphases, tide, eclipse, planetary rendezvous, planetary retrogression, etc.
8. Learn the methods of navigation, timing and calendaringbased on the law of apparent motion of celestial bodies.
9. Understand the manufacturing principles and operationmethods of ancient Chinese astronomical instruments, such as celestial globe,armillary sphere, sundial, and gnomon.
10. Understand the main contributions of important astronomers in the history.
该课程是面向大众的天文学课程,文理皆宜,按照知识点难度分入门级、普及级(*)、专业级(**)可作为综合性大学、高等师范院校、地球科学专业院校的“地球概论”及“普通天文学”的课程,也可为中学地理教师、小学科学教师以及广大天文爱好者提供参考。
Who is suitable for learning?
Our course is an astronomy course for the public, suitablefor students majoring in both science, engineering and arts. All these knowledge points has been divided into primary level, medium level (*), and professional level (**) according to the difficulty. It can be used as a course of "An Introduction to Earth" and "General Astronomy" in comprehensive universities, normal universities, and professional colleges of earth and astronomy. At the same time, it can provide references for astronomy teaching for geography or science teachers in high school and elementary school, and also for astronomy enthusiasts all over the world.
