《大学英语综合技能提升》课程（Enhancement of Fundamental English Skills）主要面向非英语专业本科生以及旨在提升英语综合应用能力的英语学习爱好者而开设。
课程内容全面涵盖了英语学习所涉及的各个方面: 词汇、听力、阅读、写作、翻译和语音，并挖掘各维度的主要技能，旨在全方位提高学习者的语言综合应用能力。课程以47个知识点视频为主线，辅之以线上测试、讨论、答疑、作业、补充学习资料等形式，构筑了一个资源丰富的互动学习平台。
课程结束时，学习者在语言知识、语言技能和文化素养等方面应达到如下的要求：
1. 通过学习英语词汇的常用构词法和词汇背后所蕴含的文化含义，了解英语词汇的基本结构、内在规律和词汇起源的奥秘之处，从而摒弃死记硬背式的单词记忆法，有效地掌握记忆英语单词的科学方法。
2. 能较好地运用听力技巧，基本听懂题材熟悉、篇幅较长、语速中等的英语广播电视节目和其他音视频材料，掌握材料的主要结构和逻辑，抓住要点和相关细节。
3. 通过运用阅读策略，理解英语篇章的语篇特征，快速捕捉中心大意和关键信息。
4. 了解写作的基本种类和篇章结构布局，能用常用的段落展开方法就一般性的主题表述观点，表达内容完整，观点明确，条理清楚，语句通顺。
5. 了解英汉两种语言在词义搭配、句子构建等方面的主要差别，掌握英汉互译的主要实用性技巧，借助词典完成通顺达意的译文。
6. 掌握基本的发音规则，矫正错误发音，改善英语发音状况，增强对英语发音和口头表达的自信心，从而提升英语口头表达能力和交际能力。
